Overview
This week we will continue our study of combinatorics.
Friday, April 24th
Classwork / Homework
Today we will see presentations of the additional exercises from Section 3.4: Combinations and Permutations, and then we will have a short quiz combining sections 3.3 and 3.4.
After that it is on to Section 3.5: Counting Multisets. As usual, you should read the section and complete the practice problems on your own.
We will take volunteers to present the three additional exercises in the section in class next Tuesday.

Classwork / Homework
We have a short class today, but we'll have enough time for discussion of Monday's quiz, the presentation of the two additional exercises, and the selecting of volunteers for:

In this section we meet the closed formula for n choose k that some of you have been using already after having seen it in another math class.

Classwork / Homework
As has become our custom this semester, we'll begin class with a presentation of solutions to the two additional exercises by our volunteers last class.
After their presentation, we'll have a quiz on Section 3.2: Combining Outcomes.
Then we'll look at what happens when non-disjoint sets are combined and begin working through the Practice Problems and Additional Exercises in Section 3.3: Non-Disjoint Outcomes.
There are again only two additional exercises in this section, so let's have two volunteers present each one in class on Wednesday.
