Overview
This week we will explore the Career Clusters, using them to begin thinking about areas of work that might interest us.
We'll also continue to refine our class workflow in the light of our experience last week.

Classwork
We'll begin today by completing a short survey on Career Clusters. You can find this survey in the Assignments section of our Canvas course. Please complete this survey at the start of class.
After that you will have the remainder of the period to complete the presentations on career clusters assigned last class. Be ready to present them at the beginning of class on Monday.

Classwork
Last class we learned a lot about what will and what will not work as far as pubishing Google Docs online (it won't work in general, so we can't use that approach).
For this next go-round, we will each make a presentation of one of 15 career clusters, upload your presentation file to Canvas, and present it to the class.
The text book I am using as a guide to plan our activies lists 15 career clusters:
- Julian: Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources
- Yamilet: Architecture & Construction
- Peyton: Arts, Audio/Visual Technology & Communications
- Jeidy: Business Management & Administration
- Jhon: Education & Training
- Molly: Finance
- Alejandra: Governance & Public Administration
- Ami: Health Science
- Noah: Hospitality & Tourism
- Alexander: Human Services
- Hik: Information Technology
- Aura: Law, Public Safety, Corrections & Security
- Avion: Manufacturing
- Mostapha: Marketing
- Madi: Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics
Each of you will choose (or be assigned) a caree cluster to investigate. You will create a brief presentation on your career cluster that includes:
-
A description of the career cluster and why it is considered a
cluster
. - A list of many of the specfic occupations (jobs) that are in the cluster.
- Three or more links to sources you used in your research.
This assignment needs to be uploaded to Canvas in PDF format by midnight Friday so that I have time to look at it over the weekend before our class on Monday.
